Alongside the renaming of Governors' residences throughout India, Tripura's Raj Bhavan will officially be renamed Lok Bhavan as of December 1, following a directive from the Union Home Ministry. This change, initiated by Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu after discussions with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, reflects a movement to eliminate colonial-era terms from official usage, symbolizing greater accessibility and transparency.
