Tripura Police rescued a minor girl who had been kidnapped from her home in Indranagar, Agartala, and apprehended four suspects believed to be involved in the abduction. The rescue was carried out within 24 hours of the incident, showcasing the efficiency and prompt response of the state police force. According to official reports, the New Capital Complex Police Station received a complaint late on the night of October 10, alerting them about the disappearance of the girl. Acting immediately, multiple police teams were deployed across different districts to track down the kidnappers and ensure the child’s safety.
“The operation was closely monitored and supervised by senior police officials. The minor girl was recovered from the Maharani area of Udaipur Subdivision, under the jurisdiction of RK Pur Police Station in Gomati District, during the intervening night of October 11–12,” Tripura Police said in a press statement issued on Sunday. Police sources confirmed that four individuals have been identified in connection with the crime—one adult and three juveniles. The adult suspect has been arrested and will be produced before the court, while the three juveniles have been taken into custody and will appear before the Juvenile Justice Board for further proceedings.
After medical examination and completion of all necessary legal formalities, the rescued girl was safely handed over to her parents. Authorities said the child is stable and receiving support from the district’s Child Welfare Committee.
