Two Indian Army personnel lost their lives after the vehicle they were traveling in plunged into a gorge near Taksing in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Subansiri district, a defence spokesman said. According to a delayed report from the army, the accident happened on March 7 near Reddi village close to the India-China border, when the vehicle was proceeding from Gelemo to Taksing for operational duty under Operation Snow Leopard. The deceased were identified as Naib Subedar Kulwant Singh of 908 Field Regiment under 56 Artillery Brigade and Naik Pradeep Kumar Sharma of 18 Sikh Regiment from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, the official said.
