Two men with suspected links to ISIS arrested in West Bengal’s Howrah district

The Kolkata Police’s Special Task Force detained 2 men , supposed to have links with ISIS from West Bengal’s Howrah district on Friday. The two men taken into custodyhave been recognised as Md. Saddam aged 28 and Sayeed aged 30. The accused were sent to police custody till 19th of January.

They were arrested on charges of conducting militant activities. Several weapons, a CPU, debit cards, pen drives, mobile phones, notebooks, a diary, laptops, hard drives and a motorcycle have been recovered from their possession.

A team of the STF raided in West Bengal’s Howrah on Friday night and detained Sayed for his intentionally indulgement in militant activities. Sayed was arrested after Sadam gave a statement to the cops.

In addition, police stated that the two were engaged in gathering ammunition and explosives as well as in raising funds for terror activities.
