Two security officers injured in gunfight with terrorists in J-K’s Anantnag

Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police officers were injured after an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kokernag area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.

Taking to their official handle on social media platform ‘X’, Jammu and Kashmir Police posted, “An encounter broke out in Kokernag area of ​​Anantnag. Army and JKP (Jammu and Kashmir Police) officers were injured.”.

Meanwhile, another terrorist was shot dead in an ongoing exchange of gunfire between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, officials said.

Additional Director General of Police(ADGP) Jammu Mukesh Singh said, ” second terrorist was gunned down in the ongoing encounter in Rajouri’s Narla area.”

Earlier, on Tuesday, a top police official said that a terrorist was shot dead and a soldier also lost his life in the encounter that broke out in the Narla area. Three security personnel including a Special Police Officer (SPO) were also injured in the exchange of fire.
