udaan has reported a groundbreaking year for the calendar year 2023, shipping over 2.25 billion products across Bharat. The platform, known for its extensive reach and efficient services, catered to over 23 million orders during this period, marking a significant milestone in the e-commerce landscape of the country.

Key highlights from udaan’s performance in 2023 include:

Remarkable Sales Figures: Nearly 1500 sellers on the udaan platform achieved business transactions worth INR 1 crore each, with close to 600 sellers surpassing the INR 2 crore mark. Wide Product Range: The platform facilitated the sale of approximately 31 million electronics products, around 30 million products each in the lifestyle and general merchandise categories, and shipped 10 lac tonnes of essentials and 2 lac tonnes of FMCG products.Digital Adoption: Encouraging digitalization, 22% of retailers on the udaan platform adopted digital means of payment in 2023.Customer Service Excellence: udaan witnessed over a 90% repeat rate in the essentials category, showcasing strong relationships with its retailer partners.The surge in demand was particularly notable in the Essentials category, which includes fresh, FMCG, staples, and pharma products. Over 9.6 lac tonnes of food products and 1.7 lac tonnes of FMCG products were shipped through udaan during the year, with high demand observed from various states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

In the discretionary category, which encompasses electronics, general merchandise, and lifestyle products, udaan facilitated the shipping of over 31 million products, catering to diverse consumer preferences across different regions of India.Reflecting on the achievements, Vaibhav Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of udaan, emphasized the platform’s commitment to empowering small businesses and leveraging technology to enhance customer experience.
