Electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette on Wednesday announced the launch of its ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ programme, a nationwide customer initiative aimed at encouraging the adoption of electric two-wheelers by offsetting the rising cost of petrol. Under the programme, customers purchasing the company’s F77 or X-47 electric motorcycles will be eligible for cashback based on the kilometres covered by their existing petrol-powered two-wheelers over the past two years. The company said riders can receive benefits of up to ₹30,000, with ₹1 cashback for every kilometre ridden. For instance, a customer who has travelled 20,000 km during the period will qualify for ₹20,000 in cashback. Ultraviolette added that owners of the F77 and X-47 can also save an estimated ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 per month on fuel expenses.
Announcing the initiative, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the programme is intended to make the transition to electric mobility more accessible while reducing consumers’ dependence on petrol. He said the initiative aligns with Prime Minister NarendraModi’s vision of accelerating EV adoption by enabling prospective buyers to benefit from lower running costs, advanced technology, high performance and an improved ownership experience.
The company said it continues to strengthen its position in India’s electric mobility sector through product innovation, expansion of its retail footprint, growing customer adoption and progress in international markets, while remaining focused on delivering technology-driven products that combine performance with long-term ownership value.
