Union Minister Scindia and Rahul Gandhi express solidarity with flood-hit Tripura as relief efforts intensify

In the wake of the devastating floods that have ravaged Tripura, Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia has expressed profound sorrow and extended his sympathies to the affected residents. The floods, triggered by relentless rains, have caused widespread damage across the state, displacing thousands and claiming multiple lives.“I am deeply saddened by the news of the devastating floods in Tripura.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to all those affected by this tragic event. I extend my sincere wishes for strength and resilience to everyone facing this challenging time,” Scindia stated, conveying his support during this crisis. The catastrophic flooding has forced over 30,000 people into relief camps and resulted in the tragic loss of 10 lives. Relief operations are in full swing as government agencies and various organizations work tirelessly to provide immediate assistance to the displaced and affected communities.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader, also expressed his concern, stating, “My thoughts are with our brothers and sisters in Tripura, who have been forced to seek refuge in relief camps due to the devastating floods. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families.” Gandhi urged both the Union and State Governments to urgently implement a comprehensive action plan for rescue and rehabilitation efforts, including adequate compensation for those impacted.
