A 16-year-old boy allegedly shot dead his mother after she was prevented from playing the online game PUBG.
Police said they recovered her half-decomposed body on Tuesday night and sent it for post-mortem. The boy was arrested.
According to reports, the boy shot his mother on Saturday and kept the body in a room of their house for two days before informing his father.
His 9year-old sister was also at home when the incident happened. Police said he threatened her not to divulge the incident and used a room freshener to mask the smell of the rotting corpse.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Kasim Abidi said, “The incident took place at Yamunapuram Colony under PGI Police Station. The deceased lived with two children in that house. Her husband, who is a JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer), is currently posted in West Bengal.”
