V-Guard bags national quality award for manufacturing excellence

V-Guard Industries Limited has received the prestigious Performance Excellence Award at the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) 2025, securing the honour in its very first year of participation. The award recognises V-Guard’s collective manufacturing excellence across its five facilities located at Chavadi, Kashipur, Perundurai, Sikkim Unit 2, and Roorkee. The IMC RBNQA, administered by the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is regarded as one of India’s highest benchmarks for organisational excellence and is modelled on the globally acclaimed Malcolm Baldrige framework of the United States.

The evaluation process involved a detailed review of the company’s manufacturing operations and corporate functions, followed by an extensive on-site assessment at the Chavadi facility. The assessment covered leadership, operational excellence, workforce engagement, customer focus, strategic planning, and business performance.

Commenting on the achievement, Mithun Chittilappilly said the recognition reflected V-Guard’s long-term focus on operational excellence, process maturity, and continuous improvement across its manufacturing ecosystem. He added that the company’s “One V-Guard Operating System” and VGMEA 2.0 framework had strengthened standardisation and efficiency across facilities.

In Kolkata, the recognition is likely to enhance V-Guard’s brand credibility in eastern India’s fast-growing consumer electricals segment. Retailers in Kolkata noted that nationally recognised quality certifications often improve customer confidence and support stronger market positioning amid rising competition in premium home electrical and electronics products.
