Veteran actress Tabassum passes away after cardiac arrest

Veteran actress Tabassum died, from cardiac arrest. Her son, Hoshang Govil, affirmed the news to a media. Her age was 78 and she breathed her last on Friday evening, November 18, 2022. Her death has left the family members shocked as she was completely healthy, claims her son.

Born on July 9, 1944, actress began her career as child actor in 1947. In 1972, Tabassum started hosting the famous Doordarshan celebrity talk program Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan till 1993. Tabassum began her movie debut as a child actor with Nargis and starred in many films, including Mera Suhaag (1947), Manjhdhar (1947) and Bari Behen (1949). Later in Deedar (1951). Her last was Swarg in which she has been seen last(1990).
