78-year-old Vani Jayaram was found dead at her home in Chennai on 4 February 2023. She was 78. The cause of her death is not yet known. She was also a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award. People across the country are saddened by the news of his untimely death. She is reputed to have recorded more than 10,000 songs throughout his career.
She was started being recognised as a playback singer from 1971 and kept on rocking in singing field for over 5 decades. She sang in around 19 different languages and also was able to achieve National Film Awards and state government awards.
Her big achievement came with Guddi in the year 1971. She collaborated with many celebrated composers, like Sathyam , KV Mahadevan, Chakravarthy, Ilaiyaraaja, and MS Vishwanathan, among others.
