Intense clashes took place between the followers of the BJP and the CPI close to the ancestral residence of former Tripura CM Biplab Deb on tuesday in Gomati district.
Gomati district SP Ajit Pratap Singh on Wednesday told that the situation was brought under the state of normalcy. He further mentioned that there was not any communal angle seen in the incident.
He also said that during the clashes three shops and few vehicles were ruined. Cops reached the spot immediately and brought the situation under control. One person has been arrested and seven others have been taken into custody for interrogation following registration of two FIRs”.
