Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan addressed the 14th convocation of Tripura University in Agartala, urging students to engage in research that leads to innovation, contributing to national development. He emphasized the importance of education and responsible time management, highlighting that the current generation is at a pivotal moment for the nation’s progress towards becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Radhakrishnan advised students to avoid drugs and to support their peers in doing the same, noting technology’s role as a positive catalyst for change. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives that have notably improved rail and air connectivity in the northeastern region over the last decade and acknowledged Tripura University as a burgeoning center for teaching and research.
Chief Minister Manik Saha praised the university’s contributions academically and culturally, stating it attracts students from across the country and aims to strengthen higher education and employment linkage. He recognized the transformative role of the university in the state’s intellectual and human resource development and celebrated International Women’s Day. Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu emphasized the necessity of integrating indigenous knowledge with modern science and technology to build a developed India.
