Vrushika Mehta to join ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ as it goes in for a time leap
TV show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is set to go in for a time leap and with this the lead pair of Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik (Mohsin Khan) will start a new life in a new city. Popularly called KaiRa, the couple will be seen moving to Mumbai. The upcoming track will also mark the entry of a new face. Producer Rajan Shahi has roped in Vrushika Mehta of ‘Dil Dosti Dance’ fame. She will play Ridhima, whose entry will cause problems in Naira and Kartik’s life.
Informs a source associated with the show, “Vrushika will play a psychiatrist, who’ll get so attached to Kairav while treating him that she won’t let Naira be close to him. She will eventually fall in love with Kartik.”

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is one of the longest-running TV shows on Hindi television. The daily soap hit the tube in January 2009, featuring Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as Akshara and Naitik, respectively. The show has been widely appreciated for the way it projects values, love, and respect in a joint family.
