The IMD predicted heavy rainfall is likely to occur in northeast India in the coming next five days and over east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on August 28 and 27. As the report says isolated heavy rainfall over western and central parts of India coming in the next few days. As per a report given by the MeT Department, “Widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls & thunderstorm and lightning are very likely to pour on Vidarbha on 28th; East Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh on 25th & 28th August 2022,”.
Northeast states including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to receive isolated heavy rain till 29 August 2022. Isolated very heavy rains are also very likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya.
Isolated heavy rainfall to encounter thunderstorms or lightning is expected over Himachal Pradesh on August 28 and over Uttarakhand on August 28 and 29. Southern parts of the country, including Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, are expected to receive massive rain over the coming few days.
