West Bengal Police has summoned Assam-based businessman Ashok Kumar Dhanuka to probe the Jharkhand MLAs cash seizure case.
The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has stuck a notice on the gate of Dhanuka’s residence in Guwahati, asking her to appear before investigators in Kolkata on Monday.
Earlier, three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand – Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap, and Naman Bixal Kongari – were arrested by the West Bengal Police on July 31, after seizing Rs 49 lakh in cash from a car in which they were traveling.
