Why has India decided to send two cricketers to the country?

India will play their last match in the group stage of the World Cup on Saturday. Before that match against Canada, India decided to send two cricketers from the team to the country. Shubman Gill and Abesh Khan will return home after the India-Canada match.

Shubman and Abesh did not get a place in India’s 15-man World Cup squad. They were kept in reserve. Rinku Singh and Khalil Ahmed were also in reserve. These four cricketers went to America with the team. Staying in the same hotel with the team, practicing with the team. Going to the field to watch the game. If any of the 15 get injured, they will have a chance. That is why they are being prepared.

First, it was known that they would be with the team throughout the competition. But the management decided to keep two instead of four. The remaining two will be sent back to the country. An official with the team told the media, “Indian management has taken this decision. Earlier, the plan was that all four people would be kept. But later, it was decided that Rinku and Khalil would stay with the team for the entire World Cup. Shubhaman and Abesh will be released.”

Shubman went to Florida with the team. India plays Canada there on Saturday. After that, the team will catch a flight to the West Indies. Shubman and Abesh will catch a flight back to India. Rinku, Abesh, and Khalil were seen supporting the team sitting in the gallery during the India-Pakistan match. But Shubman was not there. He did not go to the field with the team. He was at the hotel. However, the management is not taking this mindset of the cricketers in reserve well. So they decided to send the two back to the country.
