With almonds, celebrate International Day of Families!

On May 15 every year, the International Day of Families celebrates the importance of families and aims to raise awareness of issues relating to families. On this day we need to contribute to better health and well-being for our families and ourselves and take charge of everyone’s health by incorporating small yet impactful changes to our lifestyle. A good way to start this is by making informed food choices and snacking right. Nuts like Almonds are a source of 15 nutrients.

Ritika Samaddar, Regional Head – Dietetics, Max Healthcare Delhi, said, “Families need to eat nutritiously and be physically active. To ensure this, you can plan on upturning your pantry, and replacing any unwholesome options with healthy foods like almonds. Almonds are known for their satiating properties, and also provide energy, which makes them a healthy yet tasty treat for all members of the family.” Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan said, “The first thing I would recommend is to start including healthy foods such as almonds to your own and your family’s daily diet. Daily almond consumption may also help support immunity.”
