Yamaha revamps Fascino, hits 1.5 million milestone to strengthen urban scooter play

India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled a refreshed version of its Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, sharpening its focus on the fast-growing urban scooter segment. The update introduces a redesigned rear profile with a trimmed length, giving the scooter a more compact, agile and contemporary look tailored for young, style-conscious riders.

The upgraded model features a newly sculpted tail section, redesigned taillights and flashers, along with Yamaha’s signature V-shaped taillight design, enhancing its premium appeal. The changes, including new decals, have been developed by Yamaha’s India R&D team based on customer feedback, reinforcing the company’s design-driven and customer-centric approach.

Chairman Hajime Aota said the upgrade reflects evolving consumer preferences while underlining the brand’s milestone of crossing 1.5 million units in production. “The new Fascino represents a blend of style, innovation and practicality,” he said.

Powered by a Blue Core Hybrid 125cc fuel-injected engine, the scooter offers features such as Smart Motor Generator (SMG), Silent Start, Stop & Start System, Enhanced Power Assist, telescopic suspension, 21-litre storage and E20 fuel compatibility. The premium variant also gets a Colour TFT display with navigation and Answer Back function. Prices start at ₹76,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

In Kolkata, the refreshed Fascino is expected to see strong traction among urban commuters seeking fuel efficiency and modern styling. With rising demand for hybrid and feature-rich scooters in the city, Yamaha’s latest upgrade could help it capture a larger share in the competitive two-wheeler market, particularly among younger buyers and daily office-goers navigating congested streets.
