Youth Journalists Forum in Assam has appoints a new committee and plans a conclave

The buzz of young journalism filled the air at the Dispur Press Club today as the Youth Journalists Forum, Assam, held its executive meeting. The vibrant atmosphere was marked by two significant decisions: the formation of a new committee and the planning of a youth conclave.

The newly appointed committee boasts a dynamic lineup of young journalists, ready to steer the forum towards a bright future. Nitish Sarmah takes the helm as President, ably supported by Vice President Manjushree Kalita, Working President Pankaj Medhi, and General Secretary Dibyajyoti Das. Joint Secretary Hirul Hoque, Himakshi Baruah, Organizing Secretary Shah Alam, Treasurer Ranjita Devi, Publicity Secretary Basanta Das, and Literary Secretary Drishti Rupa Bordoloi, Members Tathagata Bhattacharya, Arnab Das etc.

But the forum’s vision extends beyond internal restructuring. Recognizing the power of youthful perspectives, the meeting proposed a vibrant youth conclave. This platform aims to engage with rising stars in various fields, sparking conversations and exploring crucial themes across the political, social, and commercial landscapes. Senior journalist Himanshu Anupam, graced the meeting and offered valuable guidance to the young members.
