Zunheboto DPDB discusses projects, COVID vaccination

Zunheboto district DPDB meeting for the month of February 2021 was held at DC’s conference hall on February 11 under the chairmanship of vice chairman DPDB and DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo.

According to DIPR report, the meeting began with introduction of new board members and review of the previous meeting minutes.

Speaking on the main agenda of the meeting, DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr. M Nukshisangla Jamir briefed the board on the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination at the district and informed that so far with 55% of the first consignment received for the district, a total of 491 health care workers were vaccinated out of the targeted 771 beneficiaries, which was 63.7%.

She added that the second dose of vaccination for health care workers would be held from February 16-22 at all session sites and sensitisation programmes on COVID-19 vaccine for departments like revenue, prison, police reserve and home guards and civil defence deptt were completed and programme on such was planned for 8th NAP battalion Hq on February 14. 

The second phase of vaccination which began on February 10 at 32nd Assam rifles battalion achieved 88 out of 97 targeted beneficiaries which were 90.7%, she added.

During her briefing, she also talked about the recently concluded IPPI and Indra Dhanush schemes.

Jamir concluded by thanking DTF members and all departments concerned who had been cooperative and also requested to continue to support and assist in the on-going vaccination.

CMO Zunheboto, Dr. K Akaho Sema during an interaction with the members on covishield vaccine appealed the board to sensitise on being vaccinated and to trust the efficacy of the vaccine to all the citizens from every possible ways.

The board meeting also deliberated on the ongoing state and central projects under PWD, Agri and allied departments, NST bus services connecting Zunheboto and Mokokchung districts and Zunheboto and state capital Kohima.

The meeting concluded with the chairman thanking HoDs for turning up in good number and encouraged them to continue to serve the district with utmost sincerity.
