Anubrata Mandal’s daughter Sukanya was interrogated for more than an hour by the Central Intelligence Agency (CBI) in the cow smuggling case. According to sources, Sukanya Mandal has been questioned on several property-related matters.
Her statement will be scrutinized and further action will be taken. Birbhum Trinamool (TMC) president and Mamata Banerjee’s ‘Baahubali’ leader Anubrata has already been arrested in the cow smuggling case. Both he and his bodyguard Saigal Hossain are in jail. Anubrata’s daughter Sukanya has also been questioned. CBI interrogated him for about 1 hour and 10 minutes on Friday.
According to sources, the CBI interrogated him on various property-related matters. The CBI arrested Birbhum’s ‘Baahubali’ Trinamool leader Anuvrata from his Nichupatti house in Bolpur last August 11.
After investigation, a huge amount of property was found in the name of Anubrata, his family, and close ones. To investigate further, the CBI reached Nichupatti in Bolpur on August 17 to interrogate Sukanya Mandal.

However, Anuvrata’s daughter evaded the CBI officers that day. In this context, a CBI team including a woman officer reached Anubrata’s Nichupatti house with a notice on Friday morning. By profession, Sukanya is a school teacher. Investigators asked her where she got this amount of money to buy a property worth Rs 5 crore after working as a teacher.
