Chau Zingnu Namchoom, a Namsai politician, encouraged farmers to benefit from the National Mission on Edible Oils–Oil Palm (NMEO-OP), stating that satellite mapping has determined that oil palm and turmeric are the best crops for the district's fertile soil.
