More than 6,200 people from all over India and outside participated in the third edition of the Tawang Marathon, which ended on October 24. Tawang saw a boom in athletic enthusiasm. Competitors had to negotiate the region's rough Himalayan terrain in four different categories for the marathon, which was conducted at an elevation of about 10,000 feet: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km.
