Joint Effort by Arunachal, Assam to Install Boundary Pillars Begins

A common trouble to resolve long- standing boundary issues between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam has made measurable progress, with geospatial verification work carried out along the East Siang border. Arunachal Pradesh Public Health Engineering and Water Supply Minister Mama Natung said a specialised platoon from the Survey of India, along with officers from both countries, conducted a common exercise on April 30 and May 1 to corroborate geospatial equals in the المنطقة. The action concentrated on icing delicacy in boundary discrimination using scientific styles.

During the first phase of the check, 19 locales were linked where boundary pillars are proposed to be installed. These spots were named grounded on concertedly vindicated KML data and geospatial inputs, marking a significant step toward a clearer and disagreement-free boundary. The check began from the right bank of the Siang River and progressed towards the Oyan – Jampani stretch. According to Natung, the work will be extended further over to Depi vill in the coming phases.

He also noted that the platoon successfully vindicated equals from Jampani up to the Ruksin Check Gate. While minor specialized issues near Oyan Bridge are still being addressed, the overall progress has been described as positive.

Emphasising the significance of the exercise, Natung stated that the use of scientific styles would help insure accurate and disagreement-free installation of boundary pillars by the Public Works Department. He reiterated the government’s commitment to resolvinginter-state border issues through coordinated and substantiation- grounded approaches.
