Assam CM has announced incentives for the frontline workers engaged in the vaccination drive

Assam government has announced incentives for the frontline workers in Assam who are engaged in the vaccination drive.

The state government has decided to give a monetary incentive of Rs 1,500 per month to each Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) along with their monthly salary till completion of vaccination.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “The monetary incentive will be given from January to March 31. We will also give a monetary incentive of Rs 1,500 per month to each ASHA facilitator and vaccine verifier. Also, the state government will give incentives of Rs 1,000 to each ASHA worker of the state till March 31. The supervisor will also get Rs 1,500. The state health department will notify a list soon.”

He said that the third wave of Covid-19 had already hit the state on January 01 and also informed that the state has a stock of around 80 doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
