A girl hailing from Assam died due to COVID-19 in Delhi.

GUWAHATI: A girl hailing from Assam died due to COVID-19  in Delhi. The deceased identified as Sonia Deuri hails from Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district and was employed at a private institution for the past 12 years. The girl was detected as COVID positive on Tuesday and breathed her last late Wednesday evening at the AIIMS trauma centre. Meanwhile, it has been alleged that the patient was denied treatment in at least 3 COVID treatment facilities in the national capital.

No new COVID-19 case reported in Nagaland

Imphal: Out of 317 samples tested in Nagaland, no new COVID-19 case has been reported in the state on Thursday, the State Government said. The total number of coronavirus positive cases stands at 193 in the state. Of these, 90 cases are active and 103 patients have recovered.“Out of 317 samples tested, no COVID-19 positive case has been reported. Total number of positive cases in the state stands at 193, of which 90 are active, and 103 have recovered,” S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health and Family Welfare tweeted.

GUWAHATI: In a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus amongst the inmates and staff of the Dhubri Jail, the district administration has converted the Dhubri Girls’ College building into a designated jail. As such, prisoners who will be awarded with judicial custody will be lodged in the college building. Reportedly, the newly forwarded inmates will be kept in the designated jail for 14 days and would be shifted to the main jail only after their swab tests are conducted and result negative for coronavirus.
