No new COVID-19 case reported in Nagaland

Imphal: Out of 317 samples tested in Nagaland, no new COVID-19 case has been reported in the state on Thursday, the State Government said. The total number of coronavirus positive cases stands at 193 in the state. Of these, 90 cases are active and 103 patients have recovered.“Out of 317 samples tested, no COVID-19 positive case has been reported. GUWAHATI: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal said that the Ajmal Foundation would extend financial support of Rs 1 lakh to Rituparna Pegu’s widow.In a video message, the AIUDF chief said that he is deeply hurt by the brutal killing of 26-year-old Rituparna Pegu by some persons in broad daylight at Noonmati area. GUWAHATI: In a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus amongst the inmates and staff of the Dhubri Jail, the district administration has converted the Dhubri Girls’ College building into a designated jail. As such, prisoners who will be awarded with judicial custody will be lodged in the college building. Reportedly, the newly forwarded inmates will be kept in the designated jail for 14 days and would be shifted to the main jail only after their swab tests are conducted and result negative for coronavirus. Guwahati | Updated: June 13, 2020: A civil hospital in Assam discharged a Covid-19 patient after mixing him up with a recovered person with a similar sounding name, sparking panic in the community. GUWAHATI: Sonitpur deputy commissioner (DC) Manvendra Pratap Singh has tested negative for COVID-19.
