Ather is set to launch its upcoming family electric scooter, the Ather Konarc, on August 29, 2026, during Ather Community Day. Ahead of the launch, the company has shared a teaser video highlighting the metallic components of the new scooter. Prototypes of the Konarc have also been spotted testing on Indian roads on several occasions, offering an early look at its expected design, features and range.
The Ather Konarc is expected to be based on the brand’s EL platform, which was showcased last year. Spy images suggest that the electric scooter could get an LED headlamp mounted on the handlebar along with a long, one-piece seat. The suspension setup is expected to include telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter is also likely to ride on a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel.
In terms of features, the Ather Konarc is expected to come with a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and Ather Stack 7.0. The software platform is expected to offer features such as voice commands, pothole alerts, crash and tow notifications, as well as onboard navigation.
The upcoming electric scooter could also get several convenience and safety features, including reverse assist, multiple riding modes and hill-hold control. More details about the feature list are expected to be revealed closer to the launch.
Ather has not yet officially disclosed the powertrain specifications of the Konarc. However, reports ahead of the launch have suggested that the electric scooter could be offered in six variants. The upcoming model is also expected to deliver a range of up to 200 kilometres on a single charge.
With the launch scheduled for August 29, more details about the Ather Konarc’s battery, motor, variants, pricing and other specifications are expected to be announced during Ather Community Day.
