Bandhan Bank rolls out EPFO-integrated PF payment service for businesses

Bandhan Bank has launched an integrated Provident Fund (PF) payment service for its business customers by connecting its digital banking platforms with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), enabling seamless statutory PF payments. The new facility allows establishments to initiate PF payments through the EPFO portal and complete transactions via Bandhan Bank’s internet banking platform, offering real-time transaction confirmations and instant challan downloads for faster processing and improved operational efficiency.
The bank said the integration is designed to simplify compliance-related processes, streamline statutory payments and help businesses optimise cash flows while ensuring timely adherence to EPFO requirements. The initiative forms part of Bandhan Bank’s broader strategy to strengthen its digital transaction banking ecosystem and enhance the customer experience through technology-driven solutions.
Commenting on the launch, Rajinder Kumar Babbar, Executive Director and Chief Business Officer of Bandhan Bank, said the integration reflects the bank’s commitment to making day-to-day banking more efficient for businesses while enabling them to focus on growth rather than routine compliance procedures.
In Agartala, the service is expected to benefit small and medium enterprises, traders and other establishments by simplifying provident fund compliance through a fully digital payment process. Businesses in the city that employ organised workforces could see reduced paperwork, quicker payment settlements and improved operational efficiency, supporting the region’s ongoing transition towards digital banking and technology-enabled financial management.
Bandhan Bank, which commenced operations as a universal bank in August 2015, currently operates more than 6,350 banking outlets across 35 of India’s 36 states and Union Territories, serving nearly 3.2 crore customers. As of March 31, 2026, the bank reported deposits of Rs. 1.66 lakh crore and advances exceeding Rs. 1.54 lakh crore.
