A day before her birthday, Anisha bid farewell forever. Her dream of wearing the khaki uniform of the police also remained unfulfilled. While preparations for her birthday celebration were underway, a horrific road accident brought death to the meritorious student.
In a tragic road accident that occurred at Rangamati near Dergaon, a meritorious student named Anisha Kumari Prajapati lost her life. The student, who was studying in the History Department of DKD College, had dreamt of joining the police and the army. With that goal in mind, she had been regularly doing physical training.
According to reports, like every day, on Sunday evening too, Anisha and her friend Munu Ravidas were practising running by the side of the road. At that time, a speeding Maruti Ciaz vehicle bearing registration number AS-01BP-7134 ran over both the young women.
As a result of the collision, Anisha died on the spot. On the other hand, seriously injured Munu Ravidas was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital. Later, the young woman was shifted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital in a critical condition for better treatment.
It may be mentioned that injured Munu Ravidas hails from Rangagara Tea Estate. Meanwhile, the sudden demise of a promising student has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area.
