BJP chief Roopa Ganguly, who has lately been criticised by the state leadership on a variety of issues, has met TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh at a social gathering, fuelling speculations in political circles in West Bengal. However, each Ganguly and Ghosh have claimed that it was a “courtesy meeting” and there used to be nothing political in it.
A graphic of each having a conservation at a recent social gathering went viral on social media. “We met at a gathering. We are from extraordinary political events but she is like my elder sister. During our teenage days, she used to be a well-known actor who had essayed the function of Draupadi in Mahabharat mega serial. No one must attempt to read something political into our courtesy meeting,” Ghosh instructed reporters.
Later, while speakme to a news channel, Ganguly said talking with a individual from another celebration doesn’t suggest a feasible switchover. “We met at a programme. But speakme to anybody from another political party doesn’t mean switching over to that outfit,” she said.
