The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress has demanded urgent and decisive action from the state government after security forces seized a massive consignment of banned cough syrup at Jirania railway station in West Tripura. The consignment, estimated to be worth around ₹5.4 crore, has triggered serious concerns about the increasing use of Tripura as a transit point for illegal pharmaceutical trafficking in the Northeast.
