Assam–Walmart Vriddhi pact seen as catalyst for MSME digitisation and market expansion

In a move with significant economic implications, Walmart Vriddhi, through its programme partner Ideas to Impact Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises, Government of Assam, to accelerate growth and digital transformation of the state’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The agreement aligns with Walmart Vriddhi’s national target of empowering an additional 100,000 MSMEs in India by 2028.
