The hanging body of a 9th class student was recovered from Jalpaiguri

A 9th grader was found hanging from a noose in the Pilkhana Colony area under Ward No. 09 of the Jalpaiguri Municipality. The deceased has been identified as Priyanka Das, a student at the Jalpaiguri Sonali Girls High School. According to local sources, the deceased’s mother found Priyanka's body when she returned home in the evening. Following which, the incident was reported to the police. The police reached the spot shortly after and recovered the body. The Police handed over the body to the family members on Tuesday after an autopsy was carried out.
