India's Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. has been awarded the contract to implement the Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)-Phase 6 in Meghalaya by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Meghalaya. RGICL secured the contract through competitive bidding. The GoM has reviewed MHIS 6's Health Benefits Package and implemented a revised scheme in convergence with PMJAY, offering ₹ 5,30,000 insurance cover for eligible beneficiaries on a family floater basis.
