Flipkart to generate direct jobs in its supply chain

For the upcoming festive season and Flipkart's Big Billion Days (BBD), Flipkart will help generate over 70,000 direct and lakhs of indirect seasonal jobs. While creating direct job opportunities across Flipkart's supply chain, there will also be additional indirect jobs created at Flipkart's seller partner locations and kiranas. This will be further supplemented by job creation in ancillary industries including vendor locations, and freight partners. Q1 GDP data: Employment-creating sectors get hit drastically

Domestic petrol prices were increased by 9-11 paise per litre in the metros on Friday whereas diesel rates were left unchanged at existing levels. In Delhi, the price of petrol was raised to ₹ 81.94 from ₹ 81.83 per litre with effect from 6 am on August 28, while that of diesel was retained at ₹73.56 per litre, according to notifications from state-run Indian Oil Corporation.
