Akasa Air has reintroduced its limited-edition Navroz Special Meal under its onboard dining service, Café Akasa, to mark the Parsi New Year, offering passengers a curated menu inspired by traditional Parsi cuisine throughout August 2026. The festive meal includes Parsi Chicken Kheema Pie, Patra nu Chicken Salad, Saffron Rice Pudding and a beverage of the traveller’s choice. Customers can pre-book the meal through the airline’s website or mobile application before their journey.
The airline said the initiative aims to celebrate Navroz, a festival symbolising renewal, gratitude and togetherness, by bringing authentic Parsiflavours to passengers in the skies. Café Akasa has been introducing limited-edition festive menus throughout the year to reflect seasonal celebrations and evolving customer preferences while enhancing the onboard travel experience.
Since commencing operations in August 2022, Akasa Air has launched special meals for festivals including Makar Sankranti, Holi, Eid, Easter, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali and Christmas. Café Akasa currently offers more than 45 meal options, ranging from regional favourites and fusion dishes to gourmet snacks and desserts curated by chefs from across India. The airline also provides cakes for passengers celebrating special occasions during flights.
The introduction of the Navroz Special Meal is expected to resonate with travellers from Kolkata, one of Akasa Air’s important eastern markets where demand for premium and regionally inspired culinary experiences has been steadily growing. As passenger traffic from the city continues to recover and diversify, festive onboard offerings are likely to strengthen customer engagement, particularly among leisure and business travellers seeking differentiated flying experiences.
