China acknowledged on Monday that the border dispute with India is complex and will take time to resolve, but expressed willingness to continue talks on delimitation and maintain peace. During a meeting in Qingdao on June 26, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh proposed to Chinese counterpart Dong Jun a structured roadmap to de-escalate tensions and revive border demarcation mechanisms. China’s Foreign Ministry said both sides have diplomatic and military channels and urged continued dialogue. Singh stressed the need to rebuild trust post-2020 standoff and mentioned the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-based terror networks.
