heinous and shocking murder has come to light in Hazaripara village under Lakshiganj Police Outpost in Bilasipara subdivision. The body of a pregnant daughter-in-law was recovered buried in the courtyard of a house. The deceased has been identified as Saheba Bibi, the second wife of village resident Hakimur Karim. The accused husband and his first wife have been absconding since the brutal murder.
According to reports, Saheba Bibi, daughter of Mahid Ali of Pakhritol, Fakiragram, was married to Hakimur Karim about a year ago. Despite already having a first wife, Hakimur had married her, and the three had been living together in the same family all this time.
Saheba’s family has made a serious allegation that her husband Hakimur and the first wife Fazila planned and murdered the pregnant Saheba Bibi, and buried her body in the house courtyard.
The incident came to light on Monday morning, triggering intense tension in the entire area. After being informed, a team from Bilasipara Police Station and Lakshiganj Outpost reached the spot and recovered the body from the courtyard. A forensic team also arrived at the scene to assist with the investigation. Police have already sent Saheba’s body to Dhubri Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family has demanded the immediate arrest and strict punishment of the murderous husband and first wife, who have been on the run since last night.
