Every third Mizoram investor uses Groww as digital investing gains ground

Digital investing is gaining traction in Mizoram, with Groww accounting for 30 per cent of the NSE’s active investor base in the state as of June 2026, according to data shared by the investment platform. The figure means roughly one in every three active investors in Mizoram invests through Groww.

The development comes amid growing digital connectivity and financial awareness across the Northeast, where smartphone adoption, internet penetration and easier access to financial products have encouraged greater participation in capital markets. Groww users account for nearly 24 per cent of the NSE investor base of 36.31 lakh across the eight Northeastern states.

Sikkim recorded the highest share of Groww investors at 41 per cent, followed by Arunachal Pradesh at 40 per cent and Tripura at 37 per cent.

In Mizoram, around 25 per cent of Groww investors are below 25 years of age, while 33 per cent are aged between 25 and 30, indicating strong participation among younger investors. Women constitute around 25 per cent of the platform’s investors in the state.

In Aizawl, the growing participation of younger and digitally connected investors points to a gradual shift towards online investment platforms and broader access to capital-market products. Groww offers mutual funds, stocks, IPOs, trading, commodities, MTF, bonds and wealth management solutions, along with advanced tools such as option chains, charts and terminal-based trading.
