Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the electric mobility business of Greaves Cotton Limited, has strengthened its retail and service footprint in West Bengal with the inauguration of a new Ampere Experience Centre, Sri Baladeb E Byke, at South Srirampur Auto Stand in Nawadwip.
The facility will offer customers access to Ampere’s electric scooter portfolio, including the Nexus EX+, Magnus GMax, Magnus Neo and Reo Vyb, alongside sales, service and product guidance. The expansion is aimed at improving customer engagement and making electric mobility more accessible in regional markets.
The Nexus EX+ features a 5 kW motor, while selected Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax variants offer more than 30 intelligent features powered by Intellipack. Ampere’s portfolio also incorporates next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, backed by a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km.
The company highlighted its products’ endurance capabilities, citing the Magnus GMax’s nearly 4,000-km journey from Dong Valley in Arunachal Pradesh to GuharMoti in Kutch over 15 days. The Nexus platform has also negotiated Kolli Hills’ 70 hairpin bends and reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet.
GEML, which has more than 17 years of electric vehicle manufacturing experience, operates three manufacturing plants in Hyderabad, Noida and Ranipet and supports its nationwide network through 400 dealer touchpoints. The Nawadwip inauguration forms part of its strategy to expand market reach and strengthen customer support across India’s electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments.
