Vikram Solar taps Kolkata’s Durga Puja platform to promote clean energy

Vikram Solar Limited, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers, has partnered with Ahiritola Sarbojonin Sarodotsav 2026 as title sponsor, using the city’s Durga Puja celebrations to promote solar energy through its campaign, “EbarPujoRobirAloy” (This Pujo, in the Light of the Sun).

Organised by Ahiritola Jubak Brinda, the festival features a solar-powered art installation displaying Rabindranath Tagore’s handwritten poem. Vikram Solar panels will illuminate the installation throughout the festival, bringing together Bengal’s cultural heritage and renewable energy technology.

The pandal was inaugurated on October 15 in the presence of Industry Minister Tapas Roy, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Purnima Chakraborty, company executives and other prominent personalities.

Gyanesh Chaudhary, chairman and managing director of Vikram Solar, said Durga Puja offered a meaningful platform for a Bengal-born company to demonstrate the role of solar power in everyday life, cultural traditions and the country’s future.

The partnership extends the company’s community-focused clean energy outreach, following its solar initiative during Ganeshotsav in Pune and the “Sixes for Solar” campaign during the Indian Premier League.

From a business perspective, the initiative positions Vikram Solar’s brand within a major cultural gathering, connecting renewable energy awareness with community engagement. The campaign also reflects the company’s approach of taking the energy transition message beyond conventional industry platforms and into public celebrations.
