Greek chess star Stavroula Tsolakidou named Player of the Tournament, wins Jawa Silver Knight Bobber

Greek chess champion Stavroula Tsolakidou has been named Player of the Tournament at the fourth edition of the Global Chess League 2026 and awarded the Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber – Silver Knight. Representing Ganges Grandmasters, the International Master and Woman Grandmaster played a key role in helping her team secure its first Global Chess League title.

Tsolakidou, who earned the nickname ‘Greek Goddess’ during the tournament, turned around a difficult start to emerge as one of the competition’s standout performers. Her comeback and individual achievement earned her the Silver Knight Bobber, which recognises players for resilience, team spirit and the courage to make decisive moves.

Anupam Thareja, Co-founder, Classic Legends, said Tsolakidou’s journey reflected resilience and determination, while also highlighting the importance of collective support behind individual achievements.

The Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber – Silver Knight was unveiled by Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, at the opening of the Global Chess League in Bengaluru. Tsolakidou is the first recipient of the motorcycle.

In Kolkata, the recognition of Tsolakidou adds an international sporting dimension to Jawa’s All Stars initiative, while the association with the Global Chess League provides the motorcycle brand with visibility among chess followers and premium lifestyle audiences in the city.

The award positions Tsolakidou’s comeback as a central theme of the inaugural Silver Knight recognition, combining individual performance with team achievement.
