Hina Khan says Mahima Chaudhry has been a constant source of support since her first chemotherapy session: ‘She went out of her way to make it through…’

Mahima Chaudhry, who celebrates her 51st birthday today, has been constantly supporting Hina Khan since her first chemotherapy session. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress made the revelation on her Instagram handle on the occasion of the Pardes actress’ birthday. Hina shared two photos from her first chemo session on her Insta, which also featured Mahima. In the photo, Mahima can be seen hugging Hina and posing for the camera with a big smile.
Sharing the pictures, Hina revealed that Mahima surprised her when she went to the hospital for her first chemotherapy session. She wrote, “This picture is from my first chemo day. And this woman surprised me in the hospital. She has been with me, guided me, motivated me and lit my path in this most difficult phase of my life.”
Calling him a “hero” and a “super human being”, Hina recalled, “He did everything possible to ensure my journey was easier than his, he encouraged me and consoled me at every step. His hardships became my life lessons. His love and kindness became benchmarks for me and his courage became my biggest goal. We became friends and shared our personal experiences but he never made me feel that I was alone, he got through it and he made sure I realised and believed that I would do the same.”
Mahima Chaudhry was one of the first actresses to support Hina Khan after she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis. Taking to Hina’s comments section in June, Mahima wrote, “Sending you all my love and strength, you are my braveheart, Hina. You are a warrior, and I know you will be fine! There are millions of people wishing you well, and I will be holding your hand during this time.”
Ever since Mahima Chaudhry’s battle with cancer, the actress has been advising her friends to get their breast cancer checked on time. “I want to say that if breast cancer is discovered in the early stages, it is completely curable and delaying the diagnosis will reduce the chances of survival further,” she told THE WEEK.
Mahima Chaudhary is soon going to make her acting comeback with Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency.
