Abusinessman sacrificed 101 goats at Bagh-e-Jahanara in Hyderabad on Sunday to pray for the safety and long life of Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi. The programme was attended by Malakpet MLA and AIMIM leader Ahmed Balala.

This comes a few days after MP Owaisi’s car was shot at while he was on his way from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Delhi. He escaped without injuries.

According to the Additional Superintendent of Police in Hapur, the main accused, Sachin Pandit, had shot the bullets. A 9 mm handgun was recovered from him. The authority has arrested two individuals associated with the matter- Sachin and Shubham.

Throughout the police interrogation, Sachin stated he had shot Owaisi with the “purpose of killing”. He has asserted to be an associate of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

While addressing a march in Chhaprauli town of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, Owaisi stated, “Those who attacked me are the ones who killed Gandhi.”
