The Indian Army’s sustained outreach and mentoring initiatives in the remote pockets of West Siang have led to another noteworthy achievement. Three young candidates from the Aalo region — Jari Bagra, Toni Doji, and Yumper Nada — have cleared the Agniveer recruitment process and are set to report to the Recruiting Office, Jorhat, on 04 December 2025 for their enrolment into the Assam Regiment. Coming from the villages of Along and Basar, these aspirants battled geographical challenges and limited resources, relying solely on dedication, discipline and hard work.
