Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has made some other pitches for an alternative in Gujarat these days, a system of governance that has been hugely profitable in Delhi and, more recently, in Punjab. Citing the Delhi faculty of Bharuch in Gujarat – where tribals form a chunk of the population – he claimed that the condition of the faculty in Gujarat is really bad.
“Gujarat has 6,000 government colleges, which have been closed. Many others are in dilapidated condition. The future of millions of teenagers has been disrupted. We can change this future. That’s how we reformed colleges in Delhi,” said the Delhi Chief Minister.
An initiative was also thrown for his Gujarat counterpart Bhupendra Patel.
“BJP is setting a world record of the paper leak for exam period in Gujarat. I have tasked Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to hold a single exam without a single paper leak,” he said.
An initiative was also thrown once for his Gujarat counterpart Bhupendra Patel.
“BJP is creating a world record of a paper leak at some point of exam in Gujarat. I am projecting Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to preserve an exam paper without leaking,” he said.
Then he said to the people, “Give us one chance. If I don’t improve the school now in this danger you can throw me out”.
Claiming that four lakh students in Delhi have shifted from private schools to schools run by the Delhi government, he said, “In Delhi, the children of the rich and the poor are analyzing together.” 99.7% ignored this time in Delhi”.
After his first lucrative foray outside Delhi, wresting Punjab from the Congress, Mr Kejriwal has focused on the tribal areas where the Congress has ruled the BJP for 27 years. In the 2017 assembly elections, the Congress won 15 of the 27 tribal-dominated seats in the state.
Last month, AAP claimed that its internal survey showed that the party could win around 58 seats in Gujarat in the assembly elections to be held later this year. The survey, AAP said, indicated that votes are likely to come from rural areas and decline in urban areas and middle-class segments.
At today’s rally, Mr. Kejriwal pointed out that while Gujarat has over 1 crore tribals, the country’s two richest people and the poorest tribals – both hail from the state.
“On the one hand, BJP and Congress are standing by the rich and making them richer. But I am here to tell you all that we are on the side of the poor,” he said.
As a sign of this, he said his first public meeting is being held from a tribal area due to his mega victory in Punjab due to his birthday celebrations. “Adivasis have been exploited for a long time. They were first exploited by the British and they are still being exploited… We are a celebration of the common man and not the rich now,” he added.
