BJP MLA Kishore Barman was sworn in as the 12th and final minister of the Tripura cabinet this afternoon at 1:30 PM, in line with the 91st constitutional amendment on cabinet size. In front of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, cabinet members, BJP state president Rajiv Bhattacharjee, senior party leaders, and high-ranking officials, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu administered the oath at Raj Bhawan.
Kishore promised to work hard and thanked the CM, PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and BJP leadership. He refrained from commenting on his portfolio or state party leadership. Hailing from a poor family in Nalchhar, Kishore, an RSS worker since student life, played a key role in BJP’s success in North Bengal before shifting to Tripura.
